Working in New Zealand

Doctors are in hot demand for health jobs, doctor jobs and locum jobs in New Zealand.

Working in New Zealand

Whether you want to relax in the warm clear water and white sandy beaches of the Bay of Islands, experience the unique Maori culture, go hiking in the spectacular Fiordland World Heritage Park, zoom down the uncrowded ski slopes throughout the country, or throw yourself off a 100m high bridge in Queenstown - New Zealand has it all.

New Zealanders are famous for their work hard, play hard ethics. Staffing levels at a lot of the smaller New Zealand hospitals mean you will get to experience a lot more variety in your work than you would in the larger metropolitan hospitals. Metropolitan hospitals offer the clinical experiences and career advancement opportunities you would expect from larger secondary and tertiary institutes.

General practice work is varied from the larger city practices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch with minimal on call requirements (due to after hour clinics providing cover on behalf of practices), through to coastal towns (with maximum lifestyle opportunities), through to rural practices which focus on their close communities.
