New South Wales Health are implementing an initiative for the management of Locum Doctors with the aim of ensuring best practice is followed by both hospitals and doctors.
What does this mean for you?, All doctors who wish to work as a locum in New South Wales Hospitals are now required to have New South Wales Medical Board registration and complete the Pre-Placement Checklist prior to being put forward to hospitals for work. The forms required to be completed are attached to this email.
Most of these forms only need to be completed once or reviewed annually. The benefit of this is that we can secure you as much work as you like without repeating a lot of the paperwork each time. We realise that there is a lot of paperwork to complete initially but we are here to help you every step of the way. Plus, as an added bonus, we will offer two delicious bottles of wine to the first ten doctors who fill out the forms and return them to us. Mmmm now that should keep you warm on a cold winter’s night!
We highly recommend that you fill out the forms sooner rather than later if you wish to locum in New South Wales hospitals. This removes the need for any last minute panic. Please download the attachments, fill them in, and either fax or post them to us. Leave the rest up to your Triple0 team.
