Position Details
This Hospital is a large upper secondary hospital, providing services to the population of approximately 150,000 people. With 326 beds and more than 1500 staff employed, the hospital provides a comprehensive range of level 4-5 services to its population. These include medical, surgical, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, mental health.
The Hospital's purpose built Emergency Department is one of the most modern facilities in the Southern Hemisphere.
This City has two large marinas which hold over a thousand yachts and launches, and there are numerous charter boat operators ready to take you out to the marlin waters offshore. The thousands of visitors who were once lured to the area by its beautiful beaches, are now discovering a cosmopolitan lifestyle city where they can enjoy first-rate cuisine and local wines in any of the many cafés and restaurants.
Position Requirements
Applicants will need to be PGY3 at a minimum with relevant experience in this speciality and be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
