Position Details
This Hospital employs over 270 full time equivalent staff, including 143 full-time equivalent nurses and 25 doctors. The hospital has a well-established coronary and intensive care unit, a neonatal unit, a radiology service (which includes nuclear medicine, ultrasound and CT scanning capabilities), laboratory services, as well as physiotherapy and inpatient wards have 85 beds and consist of medical, surgical, day stay, paediatric, obstetric, and elderly assessment and rehabilitation units.
This is known as one of the sunniest cities in New Zealand with an estimated average of 2,438 hours of sunshine a year. There are many attractions in the region, for both the adventurous and those looking for a quiet retreat. Position Requirements
Applicants will need to be PGY2 at a minimum with relevant experience in this speciality and be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
