About the role
Help Shape the Future of Rural Healthcare – Dargaville
A new Illness & Injury Facility opened at Dargaville Hospital on 15 June 2026, and we're seeking General Practitioners, Rural Hospital Specialists, Urgent Care Physicians, and Nurse Practitioners to join this exciting new service.
Available as both permanent and locum opportunities, you'll be part of an innovative model of care delivering high-quality after-hours healthcare to the Dargaville community.
What is on offer:
• Opportunity to help establish a new healthcare service from day one
• Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
• Purpose-built facility co-located within Dargaville Hospital
• Flexible permanent and locum options
• Meaningful work supporting a rural community
Service Hours: 12:00pm – 9:00pm, 7 days a week (including public holidays)
Currently most days are available through to August
