Required Skills & Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrated clinical excellence in obstetrics and gynaecology, with a focus on patient safety and quality care
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases in a busy clinical setting
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of patient care and safety
- Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
- Ability to operate with a team-based approach, fostering positive professional relationships
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in minimally invasive gynaecological procedures
- Leadership or teaching experience in clinical settings
- Knowledge of current best practices and ongoing professional development activities
- Experience working in a hospital or outpatient environment
Preferred Experience
- Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in obstetrics and gynaecology
- Ability to handle complex cases with sound clinical reasoning and escalation skills
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive women's health services
- Evidence of ongoing professional development, including audits, QI initiatives, or teaching roles
Other Requirements
- Must hold appropriate NZ registration as applicable to the role
- Flexibility to participate in on-call rosters and manage urgent cases as needed
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand and pass standard onboarding and compliance checks
