Required Skills & Essential Qualifications

• Demonstrated clinical excellence in obstetrics and gynaecology, with a focus on patient safety and quality care
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases in a busy clinical setting
• Commitment to maintaining a high standard of patient care and safety
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
• Ability to operate with a team-based approach, fostering positive professional relationships

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience in minimally invasive gynaecological procedures
• Leadership or teaching experience in clinical settings
• Knowledge of current best practices and ongoing professional development activities
• Experience working in a hospital or outpatient environment

Preferred Experience

• Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in obstetrics and gynaecology
• Ability to handle complex cases with sound clinical reasoning and escalation skills
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive women's health services
• Evidence of ongoing professional development, including audits, QI initiatives, or teaching roles

Other Requirements

• Must hold appropriate NZ registration as applicable to the role
• Flexibility to participate in on-call rosters and manage urgent cases as needed
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and pass standard onboarding and compliance checks
