Required Skills & Essential Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver high-quality clinical care within a busy medical environment
• Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and teamwork
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple cases effectively
• Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and adherence to best practices
• Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
• Must hold appropriate NZ registration as applicable to the role
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience in acute or primary care settings
• Knowledge of current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices
• Experience in managing complex cases and chronic disease management
• Enthusiasm for teaching, mentorship, or quality improvement projects
• Skills in health promotion and preventative care strategies

Preferred Experience

• Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in general medicine or related fields
• Demonstrated strong clinical reasoning, prioritisation, and escalation skills
• Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Engagement in ongoing professional development activities such as audits or quality improvement
• Proven ability to handle a busy caseload with professionalism and compassion

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
• Flexibility for roster and on-call commitments
• Completion of standard onboarding and compliance checks
• Willingness to participate in regional or hospital-specific training as required
