Required Skills & Essential Qualifications

• Proven clinical proficiency in gastroenterology and related gastrointestinal procedures
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to delivering high standards of safety and quality patient care
• Ability to work competently in a busy hospital environment with flexibility and professionalism
• Excellent problem-solving skills and clinical reasoning
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with endoscopic procedures and gastrointestinal diagnostics
• Knowledge of current best practices in gastroenterology
• Demonstrated involvement in clinical audits, research, or teaching
• Familiarity with a variety of hospital information systems and electronic health records

Preferred Experience

• Significant postgraduate clinical experience in gastroenterology or similar services
