Required Skills & Essential Qualifications

• Demonstrated clinical expertise in obstetrics and gynaecology, including managing a broad range of women’s health issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proven ability to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a busy clinical environment.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to best practice standards.
• Resilience and flexibility to work in a dynamic healthcare setting.
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures.
• Knowledge of current women’s health research and trends.
• Experience working in rural or regional healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with digital health platforms and electronic medical records.

Preferred Experience

• Relevant postgraduate experience in obstetrics and gynaecology within a similar clinical setting.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills and ability to prioritize complex cases.
• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including midwives, nurses, and specialists.
• Evidence of engaging in ongoing professional development activities, such as audits, teaching, or quality improvement initiatives.

Other Requirements

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
• Flexibility to participate in on-call rosters and weekend work if required.
• Completion of standard onboarding and compliance checks.
