Required Skills & Essential Qualifications

• Proven clinical expertise in obstetrics and gynaecology with strong diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a busy healthcare environment
• Strong commitment to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload with professionalism and efficiency
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with complex obstetric or gynaecological cases
• Leadership or teaching experience in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of current best practices and advancements in women’s health
• Experience working in rural or secondary care settings

Preferred Experience

• Several years of relevant clinical practice in obstetrics and gynaecology
• Demonstrated skills in clinical reasoning, prioritization, and escalation of urgent cases
• Experience delivering women’s health services within a team-based environment
• Participation in quality improvement or professional education activities

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
• Flexibility for on-call and rostering requirements
• Successful completion of standard onboarding and compliance checks
