Required Skills & Essential Qualifications

• Proven clinical expertise as an Anaesthetist providing safe and effective anesthesia care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment while maintaining high safety standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in emergency and elective cases
• Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with general, regional, or obstetric anesthesia
• Familiarity with perioperative management and patient safety protocols
• Skills in teaching, mentoring, or participating in clinical audits
• Knowledge of current developments and best practices in anesthesiology

Preferred Experience

• Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in perioperative or acute care settings
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and escalate issues effectively
• Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
