Required Skills & Essential Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver high-quality paediatric care in a busy clinical setting
• Strong clinical reasoning, prioritization, and escalation skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
• Sound safety and quality focus, ensuring patient wellbeing at all times
• Ability to adapt and perform effectively under pressure
• Must hold appropriate NZ registration as applicable to the role
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience working in a hospital or paediatric unit
• Knowledge of current paediatric clinical guidelines and practices
• Experience with paediatric emergencies and acute care
• Passion for teaching, professional development, or quality improvement initiatives

Preferred Experience

• Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in paediatric or acute settings
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated teamwork and communication in multidisciplinary environments
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and audit participation
• Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including on-call duties

• Roster flexibility, including on-call commitments
• Completion of standard onboarding and compliance checks
• Ability to travel to and work in Tauranga
