Required Skills & Essential Qualifications

• Proven clinical expertise in pediatric medicine with a strong understanding of pediatric health issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with children, families, and team members
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, contributing to a positive team environment
• Strong safety and quality mindset, committed to delivering evidence-based care and continuous improvement
• Ability to thrive in a busy clinical setting, managing multiple priorities efficiently
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience working in a community or primary care pediatric setting
• Knowledge of adolescent health issues and preventive care strategies
• Skills in health promotion and family education
• Experience with paediatric outpatient clinics or hospital-based pediatric services

Preferred Experience

• Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in pediatric care or similar environments
• Demonstrated clinical reasoning, prioritization, and escalation skills
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and contributing to quality improvement initiatives
• Active engagement in ongoing professional development through audits, teaching, or research

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
• Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations and community outreach as required
• Completion of standard onboarding and compliance checks
