Required Skills & Essential Qualifications

• Proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team in busy clinical settings
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills in obstetrics and gynaecology care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients, families, and colleagues
• Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and maintain a high safety and quality standard
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and respond positively in a fast-paced environment
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)

Nice to Have Skills

• Previous clinical experience in women’s health or obstetrics & gynaecology
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
• Experience working in a community-based or rural healthcare setting
• Skills in ultrasound or minor surgical procedures in obstetrics & gynaecology

Preferred Experience

• Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in obstetrics and gynaecology or similar services
• Proven capability in handling acute obstetric cases and complex patient presentations
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Evidence of participation in quality improvement initiatives or audits
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills

• Must hold appropriate NZ registration as applicable to the role
• Flexibility to accommodate roster and on-call responsibilities
• Ability to pass standard onboarding and compliance checks
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training
