Required Skills & Essential Qualifications

• Proven clinical expertise in Ophthalmology with comprehensive knowledge of eye conditions and treatments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to patient safety and maintaining high standards of care
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience in subspecialty eye care or surgical procedures
• Participation in professional development, audits, or quality improvement initiatives
• Proficiency with the latest ophthalmic technology and equipment
• Experience working in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting

Preferred Experience

• Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in ophthalmology or similar services
• Demonstrated effective teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
• Strong clinical reasoning, prioritization, and ability to manage complex cases
• Evidence of ongoing professional growth, including attendance at workshops or seminars

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand

• Successful completion of standard onboarding and compliance checks
