Required Skills & Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in urological clinical practice, with a patient-centred approach.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality healthcare.
- Ability to thrive in a busy clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
- Flexibility to adapt to changing workload demands and protocols.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in minimally invasive urological procedures.
- Skills in mentorship or teaching junior staff.
- Background in research or quality improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with NZ healthcare systems and protocols.
Preferred Experience
- Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in a urological setting.
- Proven skills in clinical reasoning, prioritization, and escalation.
- Team-based practice and effective communication in multidisciplinary environments.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development, including audits, teaching, or QI involvement.
- Experience working in or with rural or regional healthcare services is advantageous.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
- Roster and on-call flexibility as required by the service.
- Completion of standard onboarding, compliance checks, and practice requirements.
- Ability to travel or relocate to Invercargill as needed.
