Required Skills & Essential Qualifications
- Holds current or is eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- Demonstrates a passion for community-based primary care
- Exhibits cultural responsiveness, equity, and holistic healthcare principles
- Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Committed to delivering high-quality patient and wh?nau-centred care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to a busy clinical environment
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in kaupapa M?ori or similar community health settings
- Prior experience in rural or regional primary care
- Familiarity with cultural safety and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
- Skills in health promotion and community engagement
- Capable of working independently with excellent clinical judgment
Preferred Experience
- Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in primary or community healthcare
- Proven teamwork and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams
- Evidence of ongoing professional development, including audits, teaching, or quality improvement initiatives
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing clinical demands
- Experience working with diverse populations, particularly M?ori communities
Other Requirements
- Must hold appropriate NZ registration as applicable to the role
- Flexibility around roster and on-call commitments may be beneficial
- Successful completion of standard onboarding and compliance checks
- Ability to work in New Zealand
