Required Skills & Essential Qualifications:

• Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
• Passionate about providing patient-centred care in a primary care setting.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills across a broad scope of medicine.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient care in a busy environment.
• Adaptable and flexible to evolving clinical demands and processes.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in urgent care or similar community clinics.
• Interest or experience in virtual care models and innovative healthcare delivery.
• Ability to support and mentor junior staff or students.
• Knowledge of the local healthcare landscape and community needs.

Preferred Experience:

• Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in primary care or related settings.
• Proven team-player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated capacity to work across a range of clinical disciplines and patient age groups.
• Experience in delivering comprehensive, patient-centred services in a community setting.
• Engagement in ongoing professional development activities, such as audits or QI projects.

• Must hold appropriate NZ registration as applicable to the role.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
• Flexibility around roster times and on-call requirements may be beneficial.
